They believe that the actual argument will come out once they start writing the essay.Think about it this way: If you wrote your essay without taking the samples, you would only be able to get a rough idea of what to say. However, if you took a sample, then you will be able to write an actual essay that will give your readers more knowledge of the subject matter.
